Frequently Asked Questions

For our signature food tours:

  • 3-hour guided city tour
  • enough food to replace lunch or dinner
  • all taxes
  • all restaurant staff gratuity*

*unless you order something outside of what is served (usually that means an adult beverage)

For seasonal or themed tours, check each tour description.

  • If  you would like a beverage other than water, you may order and pay for it at the time of service. Some themed tours include beverages. Check tour description.
  • Tour guide gratuity is not included and is much appreciated. Tour guide gratuity averages $10/person for most tours (or calculate 15% ).

Tickets are fully refundable up to 48 hours before tour start time. Within 48 hours and up to 4 hours of tour start time tickets may be transferred to another date (a gift card can be issued for ticket value) but are not refundable. “No-shows” are charged full price and not eligible for ticket transfer or gift card.

Dietary restrictions are accommodated if known in advance. Be sure to indicate specific dietary concerns when registering, or at the very latest, 24 hours before tour start time.  Do not wait until a plate is put in front of you to voice preferences or allergies. On-the-spot accommodations cannot be made.

For our signature food tours, we estimate 1/3 of the time will be spent walking or standing.

If you are happy with your tour, tipping is greatly appreciated. $10 per person is average – or 15% of the ticket price. At the end of your tour, when the guide is wrapping up, is a good time to tip with cash. Most guides also have Venmo accounts.

Yes! Akron, Canton and Wooster have Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area! We call it DORA and it pairs perfectly with a walking tour! Within the boundaries of the DORA district (luckily for our walking tours that’s everywhere we go), you can order a drink like you normally would, and take it outside in a special “DORA” cup. A few things to keep in mind: You need to finish your drink before going into another venue…but our guides give you a heads up.

We move in and out of buildings, up and down stairs, and through historical corridors that are not suited for wheelchairs or those that have trouble walking.
